In order to limit pollution and the waste of water generated by the toilets flush, some European country turn to the Dry toilets: a toilet where water, and chemical do not play any role what so ever!
Although many of us are used to the water flush toilet the transition to the dry toilet will not present any health risk or grand effort. It is easy to install and use! As well as been an ecological asset, it will also be an ideal low cost investment.
what is the big idea?
1) Our dejections-humanure-(same as horse and cow manure) are made of phosphor, carbon, azoth, and minerals. Those constituent helps to fertilise the lands.
2) Using a compost toilet contributes to reducing the degradation of the aqua ecosystem and the pollution to under land water often cause by most septic system
Three types of compost toilet
Composting Toilet:This is the more basic type; the organics waste and toilet paper are mix with ash and/ or some sawdust. The water present in the urine contributes to the decomposition of the mix.
Naturum composting toilet:Using solar energy to heat and Energy wind turbine to ventilate, this system allows a rapid excrements dehydratation. Once dehydrate the excrement become a neutral waste.
Separating Dry Toilet:The urine gets separate from the solid waste. The objective is to reduce the quantity of waste; the urine is drained away and once diluted with water will be the perfect fertiliser for shrubs and flowers; and depending on the system used the solid waste become dehydrated or composted.
The use of compost toilet is not really common and human dejection is view as useless and disgusting, so do anticipate friends and relative reaction if you plan to have one at home!
